The BC Pipers’ Association Annual Gathering (also known as the “Indoor Meet”) is held on the Friday and Saturday of the Easter long weekend each year.
The Friday features Solo Piobaireachd competitions and Open Drumming competitions, as well as drumming workshops.
Saturday events are the remaining solo events, a full band competition, and the Ceilidh afterward including performances by the solo aggregate winners.
Portland Highland Games
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 6th, when the Games will move to their new home at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
This shift brings cooler weather, more space, and an even better experience for athletes, performers, and spectators alike. You can still expect all the traditions you love—heart-pounding athletics, stirring pipes and drums, Highland dancing, Scottish vendors, whisky tastings, and plenty of community spirit—now with the added benefit of a new time and place. It’s the start of a fresh chapter in our 70+ year tradition, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
ScotsFestBC
This is the largest Scottish gathering in the Lower Mainland of BC, attracting up to 10,000 people for the piping, drumming, heavy events, highland dancing and Celtic music.
Skagit Valley Highland Games
The Skagit Valley Highland Games is part of an annual circuit of Scottish competitions held in the Pacific Northwest and Lower Mainland of British Columbia. As such, the quality of performers in solo bagpiping and drumming competitions, bagpipe bands, fiddling, traditional Scottish athletics (the “heavy” events) and Scottish Highland dancing is at an extremely high level.
The weekend features fun for all ages with children’s activities, sheepdog herding demonstrations, beer and whisky gardens, and more.
